{"product_id":"old-fashioned-date-nut-bread","title":"Old Fashioned Date Nut Bread","description":"\u003cp\u003eI must have been 8 years old the first time I tried Date Nut Bread.  And I've loved it ever since.  My mother served it warm with some cream cheese slathered over it, but it's also delicious with a little butter, or without anything added.      As I grew older it became scarcer and scarcer in stores in my neighborhood, so I learned to make it myself.  Eventually I adapted my own recipe that combines that delicious flavor into a moist sweet bread.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSo what exactly is Date Nut Bread?  Date Nut Bread is a sweet bread bursting with the sweet flavor of dates and crunch walnuts.   Date Nut Bread is a wonderful Old Fashioned American Bread dating back to the early 1920s.   Often for a Darker Date Nut Bread, the date nut bread is made with a cup of brewed coffee. It won't really have a strong coffee flavor, the results of adding coffee will darken the bread and enhance the flavors of the brown sugar, dates, \u0026amp; butter. So when ordering, if you prefer a Darker bread, be sure to choose the option for the dark instead of the regular.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach order contains your choice of 1 regular sized loaf of Date Nut Bread or 4 mini loaves (these are roughly 4oz each, maybe a little over).  The mini loaves are larger than your average mini loaf, if you prefer me to split it into 6 smaller sized mini loaves, just let me know when placing your order, no extra charge for this. And your choice of with walnuts, or no nuts added.  I do recommend if you order during Spring or Summer months or live in a climate that it's consistently over 75 degrees to refrigerate if you don't plan to finish these all in one day.
