Kolache is an Eastern European Pastry or Cookie. Common in countries such as the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungry, Poland, Croatia, I even heard from some people from Romania that it is popular there as well. Some Kolache is more closely related to a cookie with a cream cheese based dough and a fruit or nut filling. There's also a round yeast based kolache, filled with fruit, nuts or cheese - similar to a Danish. This one is a roll, when unsliced it looks like a loaf of French Bread but when sliced you can see the beautiful spiral which is filled with a delicious mixture of walnuts, cinnamon, sugar, honey & butter. The outside is Crispy and gently coated with cinnamon sugar, the inside is softer and flavored with the delicious sweet flavors of the filling.

You can order these sliced or unsliced (unsliced is recommend, keeps the inside softer while in transit) or sliced - can be sliced into 12 or 16 slices or more if you prefer it thinner.

Ingredients: flour, sugar, yeast, organic milk, organic butter, organic eggs, salt + additional ingredients depending upon chosen filling(s).
