This recipe has been in my family for generations. These tender, anise (licorice) flavored cookies are topped with glaze and shredded coconut to add a special touch to any cookie tray. And while in many homes these are a traditional Christmas Season cookie, I think they are delicious any time of the year. Orders can be 1 dozen (12 cookies) or 2 dozen (24 cookies).

Though these cookies are traditionally topped with a sugar glaze and shredded coconut, these toppings aren't for everyone. With or without sprinkles & nonpareils or coconut deco. You can also order them plain - no frosting or decoration.

Sprinkle Options: rainbow, Autumn Colors(orange, yellow & brown), American patriotic (red, white & blue), Christmas/Italian Flag (red, white & green), pastel (pink, blue & white).

Nonpareil Options: rainbow, Autumn Colors, American Patriotic, Christmas/Italian Flag, all white, all purple, all yellow, all red, Halloween (orange and black), all green.

Occasionally I have other colors of sprinkles and nonpareils on hand, if your interested in something different than what's listed above, send me a message prior to placing your order and I can let you know what I have available..

Ingredients: organic butter, sugar, flour, organic eggs, baking powder, organic Anise, salt.  Frosting is made with sugar, organic milk & organic anise.
