You can say I had the best of both worlds growing up - my father’s family are Italian and my mother’s is Czech(Bohemian) so the food was always delicious. This Kolache recipe belonged to my maternal Grandmother, and her mother before her. Kolache is a cookie made from an unsweetened pastry dough, sweetened only by the filling - which could be anything from fruit jams to toasted nuts, chocolate, even sweetened cheese. The length of the cookies are 2 1/2 inches long and width is 1 1/2 inches.
Orders come in you choice of 1 dozen, 2 dozen, or now 3 dozen cookies. If there's a filling you don't see here that you would like, feel free to send me a message, if it's something I am able to make, I will be happy to make it for you!
If you plan to store cookies for a later use, you can keep them inside the cellophane bags I ship the cookies in, however you MUST place them inside a FREEZER SAFE BAG - and freeze. Do not store in airtight containers without the freezer bag, air could still get inside and ruin the flavor of the cookies.
Ingredients: dough: organic cream cheese, organic butter, flour. Filling ingredients vary and are a mixture of organic & non-organic ingredients.
