Lemon Poppy Seed Cookies

Lemon Poppy is a favorite of mine, and this recipe is an accidental creation - and a good one. Made from a fluffy sugar cookie dough with a lemon flavoring, before baking I top each cookie with a layer of poppy seeds they are baked until lightly browned & slightly crispy. Then once cooled they get gently iced with my lemon icing. Goes great with a cold glass of milk, coffee or tea. My kids also like to have them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Each cookie is about 2 inches in diameter. Choice of 30 cookies or 15 cookies.

Ingredients: flour, sugar, organic eggs, organic lemon, baking powder, organic butter, salt, organic poppy seeds.
