Organic Marzipan ~24oz~ For baking, candy making

Marzipan is a wonderful treat made of finely ground almonds. You can use it in baking, or as a filling for candy (try simply covering it in melted dark chocolate - it's heavenly!), or even eat it as it is. You can even sometimes use marzipan in place of almond paste (just remember to reduce the sugar in your recipe because marzipan is sweeter than almond paste). Try adding a layer of Marzipan to your favorite brownie recipe - to do so, place marzipan between 2 layers of plastic wrap or parchment paper, use a rolling pin to flatten and shape into a 1/4 inch thick rectangle (or whatever shape you baked your brownies in), place on top of brownies, then top with brownie frosting or a homemade dark chocolate ganache (melt about 4oz of dark chocolate - use Ghirardelli if possible, with half a cup of heavy (whipping) cream over stove on a low flame, spread over marzipan brownies immediately - allow to cool completely before slicing. You get 24 full ounces in each order (that's a pound and a half). No need to refrigerate marzipan, store it in an airtight container or a Ziplock in the pantry.
